We have had very disappointing experience with HMA. We had to move from one flat to a house and we asked for a packaging and removal.

We agreed that we will do the small fragile things only, but we ended up in doing most of the packaging because the persons (a lady and the young daughter of the owner) were completely incompetent and were literally throwing the stuff inside the boxes.

They did not bring any protective packaging, only boxes and cling film. Our antique furniture and antique pictures were loaded into the van without any protection, despite our complaints, the were saying it's ok.

Once we arrived at the destination, we immediately noticed two damages (a dent on an antique cupboard and a scratch on the wall done while moving things). We signed the paper saying that all was ok just because the owner promised us to fix the stuff and check any other damage that was not yet visible at that moment (all was still packed and not yet placed).

We then noticed more damages: one large scratch in the painting and a dent in a very old and precious frame of a picture. We were confident to get the repair done or be refunded because we paid 100 pounds for the insurance.

We called them and they come back few days later. The guy claimed that those damages were already there or done after the removal and even insulted me and my wife saying that we wanted to take advantage of the insurance to make money!

After that he never showed up and we never had any refund from the insurance, that was obviously fake.
